About Us
Janice Hyde is a resident of Webster, NY. Several years ago Janice, a certified Elementary School teacher and mother of two, endured a health challenge that brought her to a turning point. Her recovery, both mental and physical, forced her to reflect on where she was on life’s path and what she was doing to live authentically. Tucked away under the layers of reality- motherhood, teaching and the daily tasks of life, Janice felt a strong urge to follow her heart and pursue a dream.
Once a young recreational equestrian, Janice developed a strong love and respect for horses as a teen. However, as the years passed by, demands and responsibilities kept her from spending time with horses as often as she would have liked. Despite reality, however, the joy and satisfaction she had experienced when she was around these majestic creatures in her youth never left her. Janice believed that the gentle giants could offer something special, almost magical, to children who were struggling. She envisioned a haven where horses could bring joy to children struggling with life challenges. Janice’s faith and determination gave her the strength to create an environment of hope on the backyard farm and acreage she calls home. Out of dreams and hope, NEVER SAY NEVER Stables was born.
Never Say Never Stables is home to horses, ponies and a variety of other loving animals who bring joy, hope, and healing to many children and thier families. It is a special place away from the reality of physical, mental and emotional struggles and challenges where children can find happiness in the presence of a special horse or other animal. Our volunteer staff assist children in riding, petting, grooming, feeding and handling the horses. Our volunteers are special, and without them, Horses Healing Hearts would not be possible. Never Say Never is a not-for-profit organization and is funded by donations and other services provided by the stables, such as camps, educational field trips, and special events. Never Say Never's Horses Healing Hearts is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to a caring, yet simple mission:
Horses Healing Hearts hopes to provide life-enriching, horse related activities to children and teens living with cancer, long term illness or other serious challenges. The equine assisted activities of our Horses Healing Hearts program were created to connect the healing and unconditional love of horses and other animals to the humans who need them.
